The other day I was listening to this song by John Mayer "Waiting on the World to Change". The song resonated with me but not necessary for all the reasons he speaks. What came forward for me was one of my favorite and famous quotes by Gandhi "Be the change you want to see in the world". Stop waiting on the world to change and be the change.
As humans populating this earth it is our responsibility to lead the world into the change we desire to experience. Leadership comes in many forms so if you wish to see family more unified and in harmony than be the example within your own family. Invite others into your life so they can see what happens when families are united, listen to one another and encourage love, responsibility, faith, and integrity within the relationships. If you want to see businesses run with more integrity, start being a leader for these large corporations! Coach them on how to make the changes that create abundance for all and stand within their own integrity. Also, creating change can be a simple act of giving a smile to someone on the street instead of throwing judgment at them or leading a nation toward peaceful existance.
The universe is calling forth leaders to stand up for truth, love, light and peace. Gandhi is a mentor for me and one of the reasons is because he lead a nation to peaceful resolution with simple acts of kindness filled with love and joy excluding obligation. We see him as extraordinary but in actually he was an ordinary man who stood in his truth with courage, faith, love and the intention to create peace and harmony for many. If you were to talk to him today he would tell you that you that you and him are no different. We are all created with the ability to lead and most importantly to lead ourselves. The difference between Gandhi and us is action and that is what made him extraordinary.
Are you ready to be extraordinarily ordinary?
