Cheers to Joy

As you can see, I have been out of writing commission for a while now! Way too long my friends.

Much has transpired in my life since my last blog post such as I graduated my Masters in Spiritual Psychology program in August, entered the next portion of the program at University of Santa Monica in October, I deepened into my commitment to my boyfriend and moved in together in Santa Monica with my daughter and his boys, and I completed my first workshop.  My path has been one of great healing as well as a beautiful sacred journey.

One of the areas of success for me as the Scared Leader and has been most exciting is the mini workshop I created. I had an amazing coach to assist me with getting this portion of my dreams into motion. Most of the coaching was around releasing my fears of stepping forward in this venue and fully sharing my authentic voice with many as well as the individuals. I am amazing one on one but when it came to standing up in front a crowd of people the story changed. I recall speech class in college was horrific for me.  The first speech I made in front of a handful of my peers was conducted as if I was on fire and needed to get out whatever was required in the speech before I burned up. My face was completely red and my hands would not stop shaking! My ego told me this would be no different and even more difficult because I was sharing my authentic voice and gifts! Ouch!

Here are a couple of things I learned on this journey.  Ego always lies to us in hopes to save us from disaster or distract us from our dreams. I learned to have compassion for my ego and redirect that part of myself to assist me in moving forward instead of thwarting my progress/dreams.  This takes a conscious effort and consistent one. Ego does not get redirected quickly nor does it give up easily! However, the voice of my soul and heart are much stronger and gracefully assisted me down this divinely guided path.

Another thing I learned, sharing my authentic self is much easier than my ego was leading me to believe! Gratefully, my soul and heart completely set me up for a huge win in the planning of the workshop. Here was my beautiful set up despite my lovely ego: I had an amazing coach who was patient and persistent and highly intuitive as well as a master at what she does (Thank you Julie). I asked a friend whose home is like a beautiful sanctuary to me to host my mini workshop (Thank you Cheryl).   I than invited a small group of like-minded people/classmates I graduated with to attend my workshop. All of this was important because I know my ego and if I had done anything differently such as creating workshop without coach, or setting up at random location and invited random guest, my ego would have crushed me and had dominion over my experience. Not this time, ego! :) By taking dominion and knowing how my ego works, I easily navigated around and walked into my dream.

Finally, my workshop was about manifesting heartfelt dreams and deepening into intuition. I was amazed at what I learned while co-creating this workshop with Spirit/Universe. The theme of the workshop was residing in your joy! Who would have thought it was be as simple as residing in joy to accomplish a deeper connection to intuition and manifesting heartfelt dreams! Yep! It is that easy. However, what I learned during the workshop is accessing our joy is not that easy for many of us due to fear, doubt, victimhood, limited thinking, misunderstandings such as one cannot experience joy until everyone else does (That would be a lifetime of not experiencing joy) and many more ego tricks. Awareness of how our ego redirects us from the continued experience of joy is the first step in moving around the block and back into our joy!

One of the bits of information downloaded to me is this: Intuition is a gift blessed upon all of us to assist in navigating around our egos and back into our hearts which lead us to our joy which is our heartfelt dreams.

If you make a conscious effort every day to truly infuse joy into your daily routine, the energy will lead you back to your dreams and deepen your intuition. For instance, one of my guest expressed she experienced deep joy surfing and when she surfed she experienced peace and calmness. How could she infuse this into her daily routine? Well for one, she could ensure she surfs everyday. But, another important aspect mentioned were the emotions connected to her joy which as you may recall were peace and calmness. What if she added meditation to her daily routine or a walk in nature with the conscious decision to experience the joy and the emotions connected to this joy?  What is she chose music that brought forward the exact feelings of peace and tranquility she experienced while surfing.

Making this a daily commitment can appear to be a challenge at first because it takes navigating around ego and consistency but if you really anchor into your joy, you will find your deep connection to intuition and your heartfelt dreams will manifest!

Cheers to Joy!
